Choice 4: Texas History Book Report Read an approved book from the library (list to follow or ask Mr. Bulin for approval) and write a 3 page handwritten report on the book. Use correct sentence and paragraph structure. Check spelling and punctuation. This paper may be done in 1 1/4 pages on a computer using Times New Roman font and in 10 point format. (This is to your advantage as you will be able to run spell and grammar check. This report is to have a title page with the student's name and period number. If handwritten the final draft is to be submitted in blue or black ink. NO GRAPHITE PENCIL IS TO USED ON THIS PROJECT!!!!!
Grading information follows.
1. The selected book has been approved by Mr. Bulin. (10 points)
2. The report is a minimum of 3 pages in length in normal sized handwritting. 1 1/4 pages if typed. (20 points)
3. The report is neat and there are no messy corrections on the paper. (25 points)
4. The report has explained the author's purpose in writting the book. (15 points)
5. The report has incorporated new vocabulary from the book and explained the meaning. (15 points)
6. The cover page is neat and follows the design presented in class. (5 points)
7. The project has been completed in a caring manner and the handwritting is neat and easily read. (10 points)
